A Blood transfusion

The doctor explained the situation, the best he could, to him and asked if he would be able to donate his blood to save his sister. After a deep breath, he said, “yes, if it saves my sister.”

During the transfusion he laid on a bed besides his sister, smiling while the procedure was completed. As color returned to his sister’s cheeks. Then his face turned pale and his smile disappeared. He looked at the doctor and asked in a trembling voice, “How soon I will die?”

Being just a boy he did not understand the doctor; He thought that it was necessary to give all his blood( ie. Give his life) to save his sister, and yet, he graciously accepted.
