The Crescent of Ramadhan heralds the beginning of activities that are most unique to Muslims only. No other nation or Prophet have been given the gifts of Taraweeh salaah, sehri, laylatul Qadr, I’tikaaf, and the Glorious Qur’an, all of which are practised upto today in all parts of the world.
The “Prophetic Gems for Ramadhaan” is a booklet which presents the various Hadeeth pertaining to Ramadhaan. The compilation is kept brief and sub-divided into 30 days of Ramadhaan. This allows the reader to read the various Hadith on a day-to-day basis, which only takes 3 MINUTES PER DAY.
It would be meritious and recommended that the “Prophetic Gems for Ramadhaan” are read daily in the month of Ramadhaan at a suitable time. Some suggestions that may prove useful are:-
- AT HOME: A member of the family reads these sections daily to the rest of the family. eg. After iftaar
- AT THE MASJID: The imaam may read to the congregation daily eg. after Maghrib salaah
- AT THE WORK PLACE: A mutually acceptable time can be allotted for Muslim employers and employees to collectively read the relevant Hadiths. eg. after zohr salaah
- AT ISLAMIC INSTITUTIONS: At schools, it can be read at assemblies or in class by a student on a daily basis before work commences. Students at universities may also do the same at a condusive time and place.
